Very nice, is the date on the silver IH 1804? I have found several IN pennies at a sight I have found but I did not know that some could be silver. What dats do the silver IH run? I might have some but did not know any could be silver. Anyone? Thats awsome find, good luck on more in that area.

Your 19th IH Cent already this year...not bad at all! Nice silver Merc and Wheat Cents too.

Hello, Dreadnox. Indian Head Cents were minted from 1859-1909 and were made of copper-nickel and later bronze. The silver coin that you see is a Mercury Dime and they were minted from 1916-1945. A great way to learn more about old coins is to get the latest copy of Whitman's "A Guide Book of United States Coins". It's a great resource for IDing the US coins that you may find while detecting.
