Found an indian head penny today around a cellar hole. I don't know if this place has more coins or if my new technique is working. I've learned to really slow down and listen to my machine and dig the real iffy signals. Also, found a 1915 and 1926 wheat. But, I don't get too excited about old wheat's anymore. The one wheat was right below chunk of iron. I just happened to dig the iron because it was a nice solid hit thinking it may have been a tool or something like that. Still learning how to clean these old coins. I used olive oil and rubbed it with my thumb. I see that too much cleaning will expose pits where the corrosion was.

Thanks for looking.

Very nice Swartzie. Yes, too much cleaning will ruin a coin. You can try dropping it in hot Hydrogen Peroxide. Just put some in a glass and nuke it til it's boiling. Then take it out and drop in your coin. Some swear by it. You are doing great with your machine. It took me a long time to start finding good stuff. Keep up the good work!
