Thought maybe I could get some input on this indian head. Got it this weekend at a flea market for a dollar. At one time it was attached to something...maybe his body?? It is only 9"tall and 5"wide and weighs 15 lbs !!!! There is a piece of a rod sticking out of his neck and two that have been broken off...I am thinking maybe a vending machine of sorts...want to sell it on ebay, but wish I knew what it came off of. Thanks

I believe this is from an old amusement park ride or maybe one of the old carnival games.Could you post some more pics of the back and the bottom? Also what is it made of? Lead or white (pot) metal? I haven't found that particular indian yet. Then again ,if it is from an old ride or game the image itself would be a "generic" style of indian and not one that can be directly identified without knowing the name of the actual ride or game itself. As for where to list it,try-Collectibles-Historical memorabilia-Circus,Carnival.Cool looking piece.Looks old.I'm still looking.....

Thanks for all the help. Both sides are identical. And here is a picture of the bottom....I believe it is made of lead because it is so heavy....15lbs. Would it be that heavy if it were pot metal? And isn't pot metal kinda soft? This is a very hard solid piece of art....

i don't know what you call it but i think thats the thing you put on the end of a shelve to hold your books up
I think the word you want is "bookend". Could be?

That thing is sure ugly, but interesting. Probably a safe bet, for a dollar. Shoot, at fifteen pounds, it's probably got more scrap value than that! I'd love to see what it would fetch on eBay if you ever listed it. You never know...

I didn't know it was three dimensional. The thing by his ear,is it hollow? Maybe for a "support" rod? The plot thickens! ;D ;) The person at the flea market couldn't give you any info. at all? Maybe where they got it from even.It does kinda look like it could of been attached to his body!See if a magnet will stick to it.

Hey Yall.....tried the magnet and the only thing it stuck to were the steel rods coming out of his neck. So, that means ?? lead?? pot metal?? I found it laying on the ground at a booth at the Jewett Tx flea market....was instantly drawn to it....and asked how much?? The lady said her husband had picked it up somewhere and she had no idea where or what it came from, but that it sure was ugly. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, lady. So she tells me $1.00, I gasp, I reach in my jeans pocket, I gladly gave her the buck !! I am dieing to put it on ebay, but I want to make sure I have the right category and the right info to give forth. You guys have been great to try to help me...I really appreciate it.
The thing by his ear appears to be a part of his head dress....nothing hollow on the head...all solid whatever. The holes have been drilled out for the rods to be placed in them.
