Thought maybe I could get some input on this indian head. Got it this weekend at a flea market for a dollar. At one time it was attached to something...maybe his body?? It is only 9"tall and 5"wide and weighs 15 lbs !!!! There is a piece of a rod sticking out of his neck and two that have been broken off...I am thinking maybe a vending machine of sorts...want to sell it on ebay, but wish I knew what it came off of. Thanks

Thanks for the help. But I do not believe it is a bookend becaue it has a small rod sticking out of the bottom of the neck and two more broken off rods inside the neck, used to attach it to something. I go more for the vending machine or carny ride. Going to put it on ebay after I get back from Tenn week after next. Thanks yall, Rita

I was just filling in whitesid's thought. It sounds more like an advertising piece to me, either mounted to a wall or a free-standing display. In the pre-television and radio days, companies spent extravagantly on their in-store advertising, top-notch quality stuff.

Thanks for those pics, it is darn close to the indian head. I have not been able to get it on ebay yet, death in the my husbands family last week, one in mine this week. I am anxious to see how it will be received on ebay.

Probebly not from the motorcycle company... although there were many variations on the theme, almost all indian-motorcycle-head stuff looks like those pictured below...

Rita: Pretty sure it's not Gas or Bike! DG might have nailed it! A Carnival Ride piece of Decor! Maybe part of one of those old .1 rides they had in front of Stores years ago! You know, the little Horses that went up & down! There were other styles too!

My first thought was a carny ride, vending machine, or storefront ride. I got on ebay the other night trying to figure out a category for it.....no luck. Anyone familiar with ebay categories have any ideas for me. I would hate to put it under the wrong listing, so it is still laying on my desk. I appreciate all the response tho. It really is a unique find.....for a dollar. Thanks all, Rita
