The rain has lasted now all week, but today the heavy rains earlier where tapering off. Wednesday, we got almost 2 inches of rain. Today at 12:30 I hit the field to a light drizzle with occasional light rain. Overcast from the rain clouds. Winds where steady at about 9 mph with occasional gust, temps in the mid 40s.

Some folks who need the sun all time says its gloomy.
I say "Hit the fields! My kind of day."

These are in order of found.

This one was just barely visible. I thought it was a flake and popped it out. By this time the rain and wind had picked up, making my eye water some.

Very nicely serrated

This little point was on the side of a ridge of mud. 100% complete, small

i parked at the farm to walk ar 12:15 and texted my wife I was leaving at 3:19, so almost exactly 3 hrs.

the first field I was surprised the earth was firm. the second hit on the way out was like walking in soup. very very wet. 2 passes and out. I will hit it later this weekend most likely or next

I think your serrated point is made from Utica banded flint from LaSalle County IL. This is near Starved Rock, which has an interesting history of Indian warfare. Here’s another point made from Utica for comparison.

I like the basal notched one, don’t see those types pop up as much on this forum. You got a type on that?

no I actually walk very slow.
I have a system.
when I got into the soup I was very slow. but the first field was firm, even in the drizzle
