✅ SOLVED Indian Chief ???

The size of a quarter, I found this concave brass piece adorned with the head of an Indian Chief near two Large Cents (1838-1843). Am very curious to see if anyone may know exactly what it may be? Was found in New Jersey. Thanks!View attachment 1482911View attachment 1482912

Thanks CannonballGuy for the info. You are probably right but I still have an inkling it may be older as I did find it with 2 large cents and it just looks older. Wishful thinking maybe? I may check in with a local jeweler nearby for his take on this. Will certainly post any results if I do. Thanks again!

Attention CannonballGuy and nhbenz. Update! Just walked over to our local Coin-Jewelry-Gold Exchange. Found out that the Indian medallion/pendant is definitely 100% brass/copper. It is definitely not pot-metal. So I am back to thinking the age may be close to the time period of the 2 large cents found along with it (1838-1843). The mystery continues...
