indian basket? unusual size and shape. Please help

basket measures about 20 inches tall and 16" wide at widest point. coil basket?
Is it vintage, antique or new? If its new, is it american indian.

Literally any help is appreciated. thanks.

Reminds me of a snake charmer basket..

That did cross my mind while trying to research the basket. That would be one snake i don't want to see at 20+ inches vertical just to peek out. lol. I seen a bottleneck basket which is similar in shape but missing that flat ridge at 14" mark. Thanks for your thoughts.

don't think it's native american. or that old, but I like the shape. that would be one hard basket to make!

Gorgeous basket; nicely made. Not an expert, but I'm thinking newer, not native american, perhaps asian?
