I was MD up on a ridge in south east Tn. and got a signal on something and started digging around and accidently found this.......Mortar and Pestle. The interesting thing is it fits your right hand perfect. Meaning the man or woman that used this was probably left handed. Ive never priced anything like this before and am just curious if it has any value at all.

I just posted it on the What's it worth page also...I just wanted your advice as well

It's worth a hell of a lot of history !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sure glad it is out of the ground and on display for folks to see ..........

No idea of the value, but it looks like something they would use to grind up their paint pigment. Great save.

interesting find. but i would post it in the north american artifact forum here those folks really know there stuff.
