Ventured across the road again this morning. I finally decided to put on my smaller coil that I've had for years (5.3 Eclipse) and see how it performs. I like it. Only found 1 coin, but its a good one. A VERY crusty, corroded, green Indian Head penny. I can't see much detail at all, but luckily under a magnifying glass I can make out the last 2 numbers in the date - 70. So it has to be an 1870!! PCGS price guide says its worth $60 in G-4 condition, although it won't grade anywhere near that. Only my second ever Indian & 1800s coin, both found this year.
