So I was lured to a part of town today by an ad for a church rummage sale at 10am that mentioned jewelry. It was about a half hour away from me but I thought I'd try it. I showed up at 9:45 to find they'd been open for at least a half hour and so if there had been anything it was gone at that point. However I am so glad I made the drive up there because I drove around the neighborhood and found a couple sales all next to each other. Wasn't expecting anything, walked up to the last one and saw this box marked "Magic Cards" I couldn't believe it, so I open the box up, pick up the little wooden box inside and there are a couple cards in sleeves. After looking at these I close the box and ask how much? He doesn't give me a price and I ask, what ballpark range are you looking for. He says he knows it's unrealistic but he was hoping for $50, offer him $25, sold. He was happy to get rid of them and I drove away laughing like a maniac all the way home.

Went through it just now and without bothering to tally up the $1-$5 cards I'm looking at $500 easy. Boom baby! I cannot stop grinning. And though this isn't my best MTG find they are my first garage sale dual lands. Don't know what I"m going to do with them yet but man what luck. I actually was going to go to a sale that had advertised magic cards on craigslist that was 30 minutes away in the opposite direction from me but I decided to go to that church sale instead. Glad I ended up in that neighborhood for sure.:hello2::tongue3::headbang:

Nice buys giniro.

Unbelievable!!! I would have died...

That is an incredible find and you will make some big bucks on that pick for sure!

I only stumbled upon Magic cards at sales a handful of times. One time I made a semi-decent score but never any dual lands. That is something special. Congrats!

Another "thing" I need to learn more about. Keep us updated on the heavy hitters when you sell!

Magic cards are one of those things where there are several big ones that you'll likely never see but are worth big bucks but there are a ton of cards in the medium price range that can make a deal worth it.
Most of these are going into my collection but I can give you guys an idea of the values. These are the prices if I just sell them to a store.
Volcanic Island $84
scrubland $50
scrubland $50
plateau $20
savannah $62
tropical island $67
demonic tutor(revised) $9
demonic tutor(unlimited) $14
maze of ith $12
phyrexian dreadnought $6
wrath of god $3
armageddon $1.5
Sol Ringx4 $24.8 ($6.20 each)
Total:403.30
I might get more on ebay for some of these but if I decide to sell I might just take the hit and buylist them for the ease and not having to take the chance on shady ebay buyers.

FYI, I would give you more than $20 for a Plateau, please do not sell at that price!

Dual lands. Wow, I'm jealous. I bought a bag of mtg cards at a Goodwill once for $8 and it had a Mox Diamond and some other nice cards in it, but nothing like that. Great find!
