🥇 BANNER Incredible Gold Nugget found when detecting

The find of a lifetime for me and on my birthday to boot. Me and Ron Swenson Ron(CA) were out detecting an old site where I have found quite a few small nuggets a couple years ago and this was a huge surprise as I never expected gold to come in as a high conductor. This sounded and ID'd just like a silver coin would. I am lucky that I live in such a great place to detect, here in California's gold country. Every once in a while one of us comes across a big nugget like this while out detecting. The 49'rs didn't have detectors and where they didn't dig, there is still the possibility of coming across one of these

Im not really sure what he would of offered, probably a good bit more then whatever gold was worth back then. i dont recall him ever buying anything at full price though in flea markets and the trade shows we went to, so he would of started cheap and usually got it cheap lol. To say he was a hoarder collector would be an understatement. He owned the first landfill in midway and was always digging things out of that too, and the lil pieces of gold out of something on old power/telephone lines?? He never told me what exactly, said it was a secret and was super happy when the city dumped all the old ones on his fill. Maybe a scrapper would know. But i do know my grandma got 18k just for his few crystallized quartz gold nuggets he had and that was years ago. There may be a few online now and they go for good premiums.
