Inching it's way in.....

.....and you can sense it, feel it in the breeze that is somehow different now, a bit cooler and consistently pressing from the north. The waves on the beach aren't exactly coming straight in anymore, a bit more force in the runoff racing across your ankles. I was watching some of the surfers and swimmers the other day, the long-shore currents drifting them quickly away from where they entered the water. To the naked eye the sea didn't look all that angry or fierce, but to the familiar eye it was obvious that it is slowly shifting its season, and likewise slowly shifting the shape of the beach. :icon_thumleft:

All those years of drifting and walking miles back to paddle back out again. Getting out and asking some dude if he found anything. All those years.

can sense the excitement!!!¬

If we don't get the good hard blow everyone wants it's still going to eventually come around, just up to Mother Nature as to how soon and to what degree. Patience is a virtue now.

I too would drift south or north in the surf and have to get out of the water and I'd walk back to where I paddled out!
I'd see the "older" guys up on the beach MDing and I would think "I want to do that one day"!
"I guess when I'm older"
Should not have waited so long "all those years"!
HH!
