its really starting to get sad around here,i was hoping this was not true,as i had herd this before.

I have not been on here in a long time. But when I heard the sad news of Monty's passing I wanted to say goodbye to him where I met him. Right here on T-net. He was Good Man & friend. I enjoyed hearing his stories & his conversations over the years. I will miss him. Goodbye old friend, May God Bless Your Soul.

I'm proud to say that Jim was my friend. A nicer man you'll never find. I'll miss seeing him at the hunts and just sitting and talking to him.
RIP Monty

It just doesn't seem right not to think of Monty in his blue-checked shirt posting something or other on the forum. A good guy, and we're all richer for having known him, even if only on the forum. He and his family are in my thoughts and prayers.

RIP Monte.

I'm sure gonna miss Jim. I'll never forget that sheepish smile in that blue shirt or all those stories he's so famous for telling. He's one of the first that I met here on Tnet and then had the pleasure to meet and hunt with in 2006 and then on to several more years of hunts. I just can't believe he's gone. :( Prayers going up for Kay and the family.

So sorry to hear he has left us. It was a treasure to meet him and spend time with him at several Caldwell, KS hunts.

We will keep you in our thoughts... until we meet again.

What a shame. He was a great treasure hunter and a wonderful help to members here. I hadn't seen him log in for a while. Condolences to his friends and family.

Great guy always kind. I had e-mailed him some time ago because I missed his post. No answer. Happy Hunting Monty!
