Found where a old log cabin was torn down in the 70’s

That is very odd - any idea of what the metal is? Is it dime size or smaller?

Where are you in Arkansas?
 

Looks like a Spanish cob to me. Congrats.

I'd like to know where he is in Arkansas - we had some early Spanish activity here in places in 16th century, but I've not heard of coins being found.

was found on family farm farm near Keo, Arkansas on Plum Bayou
 

Its a Spanish copper 8.

my uncle was a bull dozer driver during the 60's when a lot of them mounds where bull dozed down then when the State took over the land my uncle showed them where they where originally he help mark them off

Often re-stamped so it could have even started its life earlier. Perhaps a trade item from the coast. Great find!
 

What a great find ! Looks like I should visit my brother in Little Rock a more often. In this hobby, you can find things wherever people lost them, but it sure looks like you pulled a needle out of a haystack with that one !
