Looks like the holding cage for birds entering the US while waiting for the clock to slowly tick away during quarantine until they could be released to the owner.

Sure, if you have a bird you need quarantined or moved... It's a little small for a travel cage, but it will work if you want to take your bird to the vet.

Not a very nice place for a pet to live long term.

And this is not my opinion- it's Abby's...

Oh yeah, as an add on... the price is good. Buy it and donate it to your local avian rescue folks. They could really use it. Perfect size for someone with a healing wing or other ailment that needs a nice quiet be still place for a bit.

Thank you! Abby is gorgeous by the way. My hubby wants a cockatoo badly, but I'm more of a dog/cat person myself.

Your husband is wise...

Owning a Cockatoo is a lifetime commitment. They live as long as we do and can be as spoiled as a 2 year old child if you aren't careful, lol. I own one, and a couple Macaws plus 2 cockatiels. Well, actually one of the Macaws belongs to my sister. She's been living in Georgia for the last couple years and left him with me. I've kind of adopted it for the time being.

What diggumup said...

We have had Abby for over 15 years, and she is a never departing family member. Yes, a full time commitment.

I don't know how you own more than 1, Abby takes all our spare time, but we wouldn't have it any other way. She goes everywhere with us.

If she outlives me and my wife she will go to a predesignated grandson that really loves her.

The destroyer of boxes...

True that about being like a spoiled 2 year old. Birds are a lot smarter than most people think. Good thing they don't have opposable thumbs.
