Im tired of these coin pics

Re: I'm tired of these coin pics

I was thinkin the same thing today (while diging up trash) we post our good stuff, and it looks like we did'nt dig a zillion things that were less than desirable, but it is still hard to throw them out thinking "I dug that up it cant be trash, and what was it anyway?"

OK. Just as long as we don't jump from Junque to Crap.

Pu-lease. Let us not refer to our precious hand disinterred crapé by the more vulgar vernacular.

Wonder what he was using to "hit" them targets... ::)

Re: I'm tired of these coin pics

I think you should post them to the religion forum here. They look holey to me.

Re: I'm tired of these coin pics

Wow finally a place to post after you get skunked! I love all you folks rust and aluminum, the clad well you can spend that.

Here's yesterdays finds. The screen was too big to drag home, I know it was at least 4' long. The pot would have been nice if it wasn't full of bullet holes. Nice chunk of pottery. The cutest little nail you ever saw. A neat bottle cap with a lady doing another ladies hair. At least we got to get out.

Re: I'm tired of these coin pics

I love it! CountryGirl made it just as much fun to read about a "junque" trip than some of the today's finds threads! Such fun! :D

Re: I'm tired of these coin pics

Country Girl i love the nail. Wanna trade your old one for a new one??? :)

Re: I'm tired of these coin pics

You know I love finding junk, it's part of history. I found a ring couple weeks ago, then an old stove door and damper along with the fancy handle. I have to admit I loved the old stove door, it had such a fancy design, the guys are going to weld it back together for me, I'm going to paint it up and display it in my garden. Everyone else like the ring better ???.

Would never trade any of my old nails for new ones, if I find newer ones I throw them away. I do keep the old ones, another piece of history.

This thread is fun!

I love your idea for the old stove door! I had an old metal bedframe that the headboard came off of....Dad was going to haul it away and I could not stand it....it was a beauty...I put it in the flower garden and let the flowers grow up and through it....the landlord loved it and asked to keep it when I moved away. :D

Re: I'm tired of these coin pics

OH NO :o

You mean I was supposed to save the junk? ....er junque' ...er hand disinterred crape ....er whatever?

Nobody told me that :'(

Now I guess I'd better carry a big bucket and find me a nice white towel (ala BioProfessor!) and take some pics of whatever it is! ::)

Re: I'm tired of these coin pics

I like the "junque" idea thing, it tends to elevate a discarded object's intrinsic value 8) . For example, I found this out in the middle of nowhere, no digging was necessary, it was too big for hauling to the trash (or should I say trashe) and, I found a memorial penny inside ;)

Re: I'm tired of these coin pics

But you didn't lay it out on a white towel, or sheet of white paper before you took the pic!

Re: I'm tired of these coin pics

I don't use discrimination. I only use Iron Identification and tone to decide what to dig on my Gold quest. The iron ID on my machine works excellent on common iron targets.
