I'M DONE WITH GARDA!

and who ever this is doing this! You are making it too easy for the carriers to keep shipping these things out! Why do you take the time to recrimp down the rolls, I mean really! You are obviously trying to deceive! Don't bring them back in the same exact way you got them, try bringing them in a different box, or do what I do with mine, and use CWR's and make the box unusable. Sorry, but this just pissing me off now! It takes LESS TIME to use CRW's than to go through the pain staking trouble of trying to hide that you searched MWR's. It takes 2 seconds to just flip the box inside out, or put tape all over the box like I do so it can't be used again, I'm going to try duct tape next. at least make an ATTEMPT at trying to stop your boxes from just being shipped back out again instead of just taking the easyway out. And I'm turning my rant off nnnnnnnnow.

This is the 5th order that I have made the looooong drive to Orlando to pick up from this branch and show up to get this again. The vault teller was super cool there. As she was bringing the boxes over I kinda groaned as I saw them and she said whats up, I said to her that these have all been gone through allready, again, and the last 4 times I have ordered from them these are what was shipped out and the last ones were short a couple of dollars, she said really? How can you tell? So I showed her the one end had been rolled back down so as to look un touched, and the boxes were all broken and not sealed, and the boxes weren't even Garda, they were Brinks. She said, ya you're right, these aren't our regular boxes are they, nope we have the ones that are flat with holes in them. So I took the time to explain what had happened and how they had probably got there, again she was super cool and said she could just keep them and not to worry about it, I said, no, I'd never do that to you, I'll take them and get rid of them for you. She said she would call the central vault on the next order and tell them she wanted the flat boxes sealed shipped for the next order, I told her I wasn't sure it would work, but I appreciated it and would give it one more try. She told me to let her know if these were short at all and she would give me the money, which I told her not to worry about, but I appreciated it. She said they had 2 boxes a couple weeks ago that someone ordered ( the flat ones) and then the guy called and said he didn't want to pick them up, so they sat in her vault, a customer came in and asked if they had halves and she told them that she had 2 boxes that she was stuck with and the guy bought them, then he came back and thanked her and told her that they were great boxes and had silver coins in them! UUHHGGG!

So this week is the record holder for repacks for me, from both suppliers, 10 boxes of dumps this week, only 2 weren't out of my 12 and 1 was a skunk and 1 with an ender (69), that and 1 walker was all that was in the box. Rough week this week! I'm going to try them this last time, if it happens again, then I'm not makin the trip again, not worth it to get rid of someone elses dumps!

The taped up box in the pick is what I use to dump when I have to reroll my coins, I know they can't just reuse it!

On a brighter note, one of my regular branches vault teller is going to up my weekly order to 8 boxes a week, I bring her sweets and stuff all the time, she said it didn't matter what I wanted and told me that before because she has to order 2 times a week anyway and it doesn't cost anymore either way, so that will make up for the far away branch that is repack heaven for me. HH, Maverick.

That does stink maverick. I thought it was bad to get 2 or 3 boxes of rewraps out of 8. But to get most or all rewraps and a few weeks in a row, i would have serious problems with that. I hope things change around for the better, for you soon.

Placed an order with them two days after Christmas...still waiting...
G-Lady and ffad I see this heading on the Provident web page. Same thing with other big PM sellers. It looks like these places cant fill PM orders fast enough, people are starting to wake up.
"NOTICE: Due to extremely high order volumes, some orders have been taking longer than normal to process. We have increased our staff and are working 12-14 hour days to ship your orders.
We sincerely appreciate your patience as you grow with us! Thank you so much for choosing Provident Metals as your preferred bullion dealer!"

Hey mav, keep at it!! I recieved a "cube style" box with my flat box order this week as well, the brown tape at the bottom's seal was broken but all the rolls appeared to be unsearched and crimped well, but it was a skunk with several blue sharpie marked half dollars, about 20 enders, an obvious dump whether it was from the packing facility or not.

The box also had a large #17 on the top of the box as shown in pictures above, kinda like the one with the #14

I just got skunked on two cube-style boxes of halves with a bunch of blue sharpie marks on the enders. Just a single stroke of blue. No numbers written on either box though. The rolls inside were as maverick described above.

Try ordering from banks that use Brinks. They don't do this as often as Loomis or Garda in my area.

I wonder if those that look like someone "cleverly" rolled down the edge could possibly from the coin provider rolling the edge back down with the packing machine...?!??

If they are sending out repacks that could be their quick solution.

that sucks! at least she will try to get the flat ones for u!

Anyone know if the places that sort and reroll are exclusive to the carrier ie loomis/brinks/garda?

They are three different, competing companies, so the rolling centers should be different. However, people have noticed coins being interchanged between carriers. I think that would be strange, that would be like Papa John's delivered a Domino's pizza to your house.

Four companies, I thought. Brinks, Loomis, Garda, and Dunbar.

I can help you with that.

Thanks Sag, but I have no need to photo shop anything, if I take a pic, it's real, lol. HH, Maverick.

Good question. I have about 10 of them I have found over the years.

That's interesting, wonder if I've missed any in my searches. They sound different? I have had some 72's that just ring a little different, after 10 times of dropping them and looking at them I just throw them in the bag and forget about them. Magicians coins sound totally different. HH,Maverick.

They feel and sound just like a 90....But you can bend them with your fingers.

Huh, never seen one. I guess I would catch it if one came through. I keep an eye out.

Maverick, how do you dump your halves? You just re-wrap the coins and put them back in the box and put tape along the outside?

I ordered two boxes recently, and nothing good in them. They were the boxes you can see into, they have the holes to make sure the bank isn't giving out lead slugs instead of coins. I sloppily rewrapped them (as in folded over the rolls), I was able to save most of the wrappers and brought the boxes back and redeposited the money, cause I can't have $1000 sitting in change in the house and I'm not going to cart loose coins in a bag to a machine and pay 5% to return money. That's a money losing proposition. Now eventually either that bank will send them back to the supplier or will give them to someone else who wants halves. But just by glancing inside you can tell the coins are not fresh from the federal reserve. About 40% of the coins had been marked. Oh well. Remember, the bank employees don't have time to inspect rolled coin. And I really doubt they are going through their inventory looking for silver. In my $1000 sample, with 40% of the coins marked, there must be an awful lot of people going thru an awful lot of coins out there. I guess it's just the breaks and looking for silver in rolls can either be enormously exciting or an enormous waste of time.

Somewhere I read once of lead coins being die trials. Don't know if that might be the answer.
