I'm Back With A Big Post. (Updated With More Pics)

Hey everyone,

I have been gone now for awhile. 2 Things kept me away. My kids baseball all summer long. And then my computer got a virus about 2 months ago and ate the hard drive up.

Well I finally got a new one and I am testing it out. I made alot more finds and had alot more photos but right now I can't remember everything I have found since i was last on. Plus some of the photos are on my iphone and it wanted me to download more software to get the pics from that.

I will be putting up more photos as I go along. Some of the highlights were a nice 1850's homestead I came across about 3 weeks ago. It gave up a ton of relics not all show. 2 really neat picture frames. Both well burried over a foot deep for some odd reason. It gave up a prince edwards island token.

Can anyone id this one or give me a date and variety. Back is blank on the token. Got a few arrowheads not shown and a bunch of common silver indians and nickles not shown.

I am back now and ready for the fall. I'm working on some old homesteads to go out and track down here over the next couple months. Bare with me I just got a new computer a couple days ago and it's alot different than my old one.

This is like a test run post for me. I'll get better again as I learn all this new software. Thanks for looking and commenting.

Good luck to all

HH Jer

And now that we've finally had some rain, those deep signals will start jumping at you! Congrats on the finds, and I know how kids' baseball cuts into your detecting; I pitched 37 complete games throwing to 7-8 year olds this year! The way the Steelers are going, I might start going out on Sundays again >:(!

Re: I'm Back With A Big Post. (Updated With More Pics)

Thanks alot everyone.

Was wondering if anyone cared that I was gone that long Nana lol. You guys were probably tiered of this kid posting good finds all the time right lol.

Yes, I can't wait till the fall time. I'm already getting excited about looking for old homes again. Matter of fact tried to get to one today with no luck. Gotta take another route to get to this one. Alot of hard work and walking up mountains and ravines. It's worth it though when you find a virgin site.

Yes, HD the steelers are at a struggle right now. I may be hunting Sunday afternoons myself here soon. Yes Im sure you know how many games these leagues will sqeeze in a short ammount of time. I pitched a tent at the field for all-stars.

Here are some more photos. Including a sterling spoon dated 1894. Plus some close ups of the finds and coins that I have found in the past few months.

Once again than you all for the welcome back.

What else can I say "Wow". Nice!!!!!

Re: I'm Back With A Big Post. (Updated With More Pics)

Welcome back and congrats on the nice haul! I got one question for you.
Is that silver Canadian coin (1921) a nickle or a dime? If it is a nickle, I will be yelling! I have dug nearly a thousand little nickles in my lifetime and still haven't found the 1921.
Anyways, just curious. Thanks for sharing your finds.
Dave.

Re: I'm Back With A Big Post. (Updated With More Pics)

Re: I'm Back With A Big Post. (Updated With More Pics)

can you get a close of the scout pin in the third photo that is just to the left of the mercury dime and below the silver scout pin?
I would love to see the front and back.

Re: I'm Back With A Big Post. (Updated With More Pics)

AWESOME FINDS! Muddy is looking for the 1921 sterling nickel, worth big cahuna's if ya find one. I have a couple, but they are not sterling either :'( BTW, I have an old scout slide made of thin lead in the shape of an arrowhead.........NGE

Re: I'm Back With A Big Post. (Updated With More Pics)

Good to see you back posting, Jer.

Great assortment of finds, as always nice pics too.

Sterling spoon, nice find... I have found a couple plated ones but never a solid. I like that 1719-1898 tag too.

Re: I'm Back With A Big Post. (Updated With More Pics)

Yes,

Thanks alot all you guys.

MD, It just looks silver. It is actually a penny. Don't find canadian cents to often here in pa. Just another common coin.

RI The plate you speak of come off of a wagon. Not sure exactly what they are but around my parts they are high on the relic list. I have about 5 to 10 of them. I love to find them. Beleive it or not the plate and the mason buckle were surface finds looked over by other hunters.

Thats my 3rd or 4th silver spoon. This is the best complete one I have dug. It has the name Ruth at the handle. It is as thin as a sheat of paper.

I added a close up of the pin. Not the back I can't seem to find the pin. It was pat dated 1911 if I can recall.

Thanks again everyone.
