I'm a RANGER!!

When Neil started finding all the old Indians, I threw caution into the wind
and wandered off along a deeply carved deer trail in search of my own treasure.

After about 20-minutes, I realized I was hopelessly lost in the woods. The only living
creatures I encountered were two does that were probably wondering what I was
searching for. . . besides the shotgun shell brass that seemed to be everywhere.

Just before I found my way back on to a "human" trail that I was familiar with, I
got a solid signal that I thought for sure was silver. . . instead, it was a Sullivan
Junior High School Ranger badge. . . :P Better than nothing I suppose :-\

Anyway, thanks for looking!

That's a cool badge, Mark!! WTG!!!

Keep it tucked in your wallet in case we have any more - ahem - "parking issues" with the FPPD!

Re: I'm a RANGER!!

You can always flash it at the mushroom hunters for a discount deal!

Cool find Mark!
I bet that not too many of those have been dug up.

Hey "Mr. Ranger"

Hey booboo let's get our self's some pic-a-nic-a basket's before "Mr. Ranger " get's here...

I wanted to say goodbye but I couldn't see you any where when I left..That's when you must have been lost.

Re: I'm a RANGER!!

So what's the story with the parking issues?

Re: I'm a RANGER!!

Thanks for the comments!

That's the second badge of some type that I've found out there.

Re: I'm a RANGER!!

what did the bears eat the rangers or what?

Re: I'm a RANGER!!

Nice badge Mark! Never seen one of those yet.

Hey, something I would suggest... get some of those family radios that have 22 channels. I got a 14 mile range Cobra set for $25 and they came with rechargeable batteries and a charger. They work flawlessly for our relatively close hunting, and just in case you get lost you can ask for someone to yell out so you can get your bearings. They are primarily great for when one person is finding a bunch of goodies and wants to let everyone know where to come over and hunt without hiking all of the way back to find everyone. You press the call button and all radios on the channel ring when you find something notable... when you hear back, that's when you sack 'em with your finds. Then the instant wireless high fives ensue... it's pretty sweet.

Great idea! I think we picked up a set of those for the boys a couple of years ago when we all went camping

Re: I'm a RANGER!!

I still have 1 small walkie talkie that I bought in the Marines, we used them all the time for everything and I think they would be real handy out in the woods. Mine is a small one but I think it has 15 or so channels and has a range of like 3 miles, more than enough for what we need. I think for 2 now a days they are like $40. I keep scratching up my cell phone with my gloves out in the woods.

Kermit, this is a great idea! I never even thought of Walkie Talkies. It would sure save us a lot of time and keep out phones a lot cleaner! I'll pick some up.
