Hi all. Rather nasty state of affairs , I did notice on checking the stats on this chart there are large differences in numbers in other accounts. Not truth but estimates . May be more or less , I see that the larger numbers relate to WW1 WW2 , in which invading armies were involved and others refer to civil wars. Your list seems to have left out other major genocides and stats concerning other nations in times of war, civil unrest and just plain genocide. Of the poor souls which have not been mentioned ,many had no idea what a gun was until it was used on them. I was surprised to see my own country mention in the Encyclopedia of Genocide . Merely a mention but others are were quite prominent . Couple of other books on one such an event were The First Victim [1972] Jay David Conquest of Paradise , Sanctuary Of Genocide and hundreds of others. This is only one event of this nature that took place in one location and other events like civil war and civil unrest also took place . Not forgetting other wars. Funny there was no gun control there at all . When you add the intended and accident related gun deaths and the total number grows . Gun Control or No Gun Control this chart is far from complete and reflexs nothing . Looks to be one-sided propaganda insulting other countries which is clearly a bit rich . Well "others "cannot make comment . Thanks you just gave "cause" or keep other nations out of your issues. Thats only fair by the rules which are preached to me on this Forum.

Well, perhaps a bit of the obvious has not been so obvious.

The lands cited in the list followed a similar path before their democide:

1) Registration of Firearms.

2) Ban of Firearms.

3) Confiscation of Firearms.

4) Killing the DISARMED public that didn't fit in with their wishes.

To qualify for #4, you could: Be old, be the wrong shade, be infirm, be mentally challenged (as in institutionalized), opposed to the rape of your child and / or spouse, opposed to the goals of the administration, look funny at an officer or soldier, not move fast enough, disapprove of mass killing, complain about not having your latte this morning, or just about anything else.

And to qualify for the first three you had to actually OWN a gun!

Having a gun wouldn't have helped with #4 either...as in the long run the result would have been the same, just quicker!

I would much rather go down fighting, knowing I was going to die, than kneeling over a hole waiting to be shot....

That's fair enough TH....if you got the chance.
You can have all the guns in the world, but if the troops turn up when you're nowhere near them, shoot you in the head as you're getting in your car, or 4 of them aim rifles at your wife, odds are you'll be kneeling over the hole!
You also have to KNOW they intend to liquidate you. When the chips are down "rumour and speculation" tend to conflict drastically with the will to live in your brain!
It's doubtful many jews actually believed or even knew that being sent to the camps meant "liquidation". America COULD HAVE done the exact same thing with your Japanese citizens you sent to your camps. None of them would have expected it either and they DID have access to guns! Did they fight?
The third world countries?....They're lucky if they have a rake never mind a gun! 2 truckloads of soldiers turn up and start lopping arms off and shooting people...nothing they can do but try to run.
In Germany and Russia, leaving Jews aside....most people ended up in camps or stood against a wall purely for actions of a family member. 1 guy kills a German sentry....that guy's whole family was rounded up and shot! A Russian was classed "an enemy of the state"? It generally applied to his whole family too! First thing they knew about anything was when they were dragged out of school/work/ the kitchen, and taken in. Hard to "go down fighting" in those situations.

It's all well and good thinking your situation will entail sitting behind the barricade in your living room and letting loose with everything you've got! Life very rarely follows our set plans...especially if someone else is involved.

I'm not concerned at all. I am never more than 20 foot from a loaded weapon in my home and 90% time one is within arms length away from home....

I don't anticipate any government agents kicking in my doors any time soon, a crook you never know which is why I have weapons on both floors of my home...I can have a loaded weapon in less than 10 secs if needed.

Once again, you're going back to the "in my home" scenario, and the thread's about Demo/Geno-cide not "crooks". (Think - Chinese 701st Rifle brigade stopping you coming out of Walmart etc.)

LOL...

The list also fails to mention the amount of genocide killings mentioned in the bible.

A good argument for conceal carry!......

Conceal carry is legal in this state, I bought my Ruger LC9 for my conceal carry....

I am doing the conceal carry this spring as I will have more time for the required course.

" or 4 of them aim rifles at your wife ".

I hope your wives are VERY confident of your quick draw technique and accuracy?

ALL women I have been with became VERY confident in my "quick draw technique" :laughing7:

As far as accuracy I always place my shot well......!

Hmm. I wonder. Where are you at on the well placed quick draw technique espoused by Diesel for any lady friends Dano? Ever tried any such maneuver with your honey? Maybe I will go wake up my wife and see what she thinks..............or maybe I better not too.

You must be drinky Dano for not going for the double entendre?(sp?)

I'm well behind Diesel Dave. They tell me he's a 0.07 sec quick drawer...i'm a 2.5 hour slow drawer! ;)
