If you could, Would you?

I've lived in a wall tent for several months at a time without any modern conviences and I can tell you once you realize that your basic needs don't change and the majority of the "real world" is just noise you start to enjoy the actual living. For me those times were some of the best, simpliest and most fullfilling I've experienced. The hardest part is getting used to the chaos and constant movement when you get back. Most miners had somewhat of a grubstake to start out with for the season. Give me the same and the opportunity of a location that is representitive of what the 49ers could expect along with what I know now- HECK YEA!

I know what ya mean Fowled! Even after just a month out I found town to be to "Busy" when I'd make a beans and bullets run. By the end of the four months I really dreaded having to go on a supply run because it meant I'd have to deal with people again. If I had had the ability to stock up for longer periods at a time I would have hauled at least a couple months worth of supplies at a time.

Funny now when I come home after spending any length of time up at the claim, all I can smell driving thru town before heading up the hill is the deep fat fryers from the fast food joints and restaurants, along with the exhaust from the cars. Can't pick out any other smells than those. I don't remember the place smelling like that before, I used to associate it with the smell of Oleanders and cut grass. It also bugs my eyes out, I probably look like a dashboard bobble head gazing all over at every little movement that catches my eye. Me no likey!

Will there be wifi for my iPad?
