If you could hunt anywhere....

Fairmount Park (Lemon Hill, Strawberry Mansion, Memorial Hall from the Centennial Exposition, Mount Pleasant Mansion (Benedict Arnold's house), Georges Hill. Oh man! These names bring back such great memories (1895 dimes, 1917 T-1 Standers in AU condition, 1877 Indian Head pennies in XF, 1829 and 1930 half dimes, 1921 dimes, 1909-s and 1914-d pennies, numerous half cents, large cents, two cent pieces, three cent pieces, you name it). It's a crying shame that an 80 year old archaeologist (now deceased) thought we would find all his precious artifacts and therefore thought it necessary to prevail upon the Fairmount Park Commission to withdraw our permits. After all, there would be no artifacts left for the archaeologists of the 23rd century to find. What a joke.

I wish I could hunt the beach at Biloxi, MS. There has to be all kinds of quarters from the casinos there. They were not allowed to be built on dry land. They were all built on barges and floated in the water. When the hurricane hit. Many of them broke their restraints and were blown onto land.

what a subject. maybe the WW2 beaches where troops landed? my fav right now is civil war b'fields. i will be in no. virg. on 5 private acres in a few days. can hardly wait. will post the results asap, maybe from the site itself. God bless everyone.

Well for one, I'd love to MD about 60 miles north of me in a place called Appomattox...lol. There are some other places I'd love to hunt, but Appomattox would probably be my first choice.

Easy, ALL THE ABOVE!! Just one? Oh man... white house lawn, can you imagine? "Oh yeah, and that display case right there, yeah, the big one, is from the white house..." *and then I wake up*

Myself, I would like to get into my ex wife's jewelry box.

Dan, The only problem w/ Gettysburg is that after they made the movie there, a lot of near surface finds may be replicas from the Reenactors. But the idea of it gets the ole juices flowing.

MOJJAX:

Is that the SF place associated w/ the Bohemian Grove & The Order Of Death? I understand it has quite a history.

Yes , only the richest , most exclusive people get to go there . I think it has Masonic roots . A very secretive place .
