Maybe some type of tool? Gun tool maybe? Not sure but nice bunch of finds. Thing on right that is beside what looks like a coin is a sling adjuster.
 

This mornings haul,including two French triangulars and one carved.This is going to be a tough week to follow!

long term "picket post" were basically small camp sites with a few bored soldiers just sitting around watching out for the enemy
 

hum several "pulled" bullets --see the worm holes in the nose..
