ID help needed

Can anyone tell me any info on this vintage device. It doesn’t have the 11.5 V battery it says it needs. It’s been well taken care of looking at it.

Hi. Huntmaster comes up as Jetco Huntmaster but all the ones I saw are blue.

only Difference I See is the Open coil so it can be Probed under water. Your's will float maybe after market different size coil
