I won a million dollars this morning

If you’re like me, see a winner.... scratch off the crud real slow, hoping to win your money back....
Almost always is the case, rarely will you hit a big number, like a 100 or 500...
To see a $1,000,000 ...... my God. It must have been such a gut-punch, that you had to look at it 10 times to believe what you were seeing.

I’m thinking you’re gonna get lucky again tonight!:laughing7:

Congratulations, and be well!

I was fully expecting to read some kind of joke... but I'm delighted to see nothing of the kind. How wonderful for you, and I sincerely wish you and your family all the best for you to spend it as you wish.

Congrats! Don't get uppity on us and disappear..:laughing7:

You weren't already a multi millionaire were you ? ? ?

If so... you don't need it... you can then pass it forward to your ole Tnet buddies.

:P

***ARC checks the calendar to see if it is April 1st. ***

That's exactly what I do. When I see a symbol I leave it alone until I have scratched the rest of the ticket. That way I can fantasize about the prize while scratching off the remaining numbers.
Today that fantasy became reality.

Truly Gopher... Congratulations... Spend slowly and wisely is the best advice I can give.

When in doubt... sleep on it before making major decisions.

BANNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now that most people in the world know. SECURITY FIRST! Don't be that guy that gets whacked after winning.

Congrats! Hide that puppy in a safe deposit box or cash immediately!

Appointment at the lottery office tomorrow. Wife is calling in sick and we are sleeping armed to the teeth tonight.

We live in a run-down mobile home. The central air unit gave out years ago so we have window units situated throughout to keep cool.
The floors are sagging in places because of numerous water leaks. Whenever one leak gets fixed and sub-floor is replaced, another leak appears.
My wife drives a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan with almost 300,000 miles on it. The AC, heater, defroster and radio don't work. My Jeep is in a bad way too. Turn signals quit working and the throttle body is shot.
This couldn't have come at a better time.

Wow!! Congrats and sounds like you deserve it with your life situation. To think I was happy the other night when I scratched off five dollars. This should be instant-banner.

I am happy for you thats really awesome. Be smart with it Congrats

No offense taken at all. Degrade it all you want :laughing7:

Our plans are this:
New house - we want to keep it at or under $225,000. Nice older home on some acres would do nicely.
New Chevy Silverado 1500 crew cab with the 5.3 V-8, about 37 grand.
New toy hauler to haul my '18 Triumph Bonneville T120 and a '70 vintage Bonneville I plan to buy. I already have the T120.
Pay off my daughters car and give her some cash. I'm the co-signer on the car so it helps us both.
Sock some money away for some well deserved trips and easy livin', debt free.

You know, that's nice. My son and I, when he was younger, used to play "what would you do if you won a million dollars in the lottery?" I don't recall what I said I'd do.

Right now, move (my house needs $ porch repair) to a bump better. Get a new used car. I'm pretty skeptical about spending anything past that point: I've got all the shirts and underwear I need.

Yes, go slow. They will withhold taxes. Don't forget to put enough away for years and years and years of future property taxes. Taxes - can't live with them, can't live without them.

If you did win I hope you decide to keep quite about it. Lawyers, tax consultants, and tax shelters would be a good way to go. A large win can turn you life upside down if you're not careful. People could be coming out of the woodwork with a million sob stories. Enjoy your hobbies!!!
