I was wondering if anyone has used their XP Deus to find Gold

I am not using my Deus for gold.

I felt bad that nobody answered, so there you go. Perhaps no answers is indicative of the fact that nobody is using a Deus for gold hunting...

Just my two cents worth.

I've seen some youtube videos with good responces on finding Gold , but I would like to get a little more insite from people here . I am also looking at the Makro Gold Racer as a Gold specific machine , I have there pinpointer and it is by far the best pointer I've ever had . I know I should not be talking about them in this forum but JMHO .

Correction on frequencies on my earlier post. It's elliptical, 4.7" x 9.5". It will operate at 10/20/30/ or 40 kHz. No pricing yet. It will be an accessory coil at release, so not included in standard packages on release.

I heard that the new coil will be able to operate in 4,8,12, and 18 kHz as well as the new frequencies. :hello2:

I don't have any information that states that, but you may be correct. All that I have seen shows the new coil at 10/20/30/40.

I hope this is the case as well, but if not 10 is close to 8 and 12, same with 20 to 18 so I will get it regardless just because it's smaller than my 9".

BTW FWIW - The latest information I have from multiple reputable sources is that XP is now [unfortunately] targeting a fall release for the 4.0 Deus software update and the new hardware (hf elliptical coil, wireless pinpointer, and two-box deep seeking cache antenna). Hope I am wrong and we are pleasantly surprised by an earlier release, but it is not looking that way at present. :unhappysmiley:

Just press on the frowny face on my post. It may not do anything, but if it makes you feel better...lol

To un-hijack the thread from the OP, I have used the DEUS Gold Field program, which is like an all metal mode for the Deus, when relic hunting. I did not find gold, but at the highest frequency setting (18khz) it did find very small targets that registered in the gold range. Very sensitive, deep program.

I have to add that I have recently done some testing , with some small amounts of placer gold , that I have panned out and put in small plastic vials , I thought , the out come was pretty good for the minimal amounts of Gold , I had to work with , Less than Half a gram . I got 4" to 6" deep with my testing , I think it would probly be a little deeper in virgin soil maybe . The reason I say maybe , is because I did'nt think to add any black sands or magnetite in my test holes like you would find in the natural state . JMHO

What program were you using?
