Silver! As in a 1958 Rosie - right in the middle of a fresh mound after a major dry spell (no photo, sorry)

Maybe if I keep the pressure on, they will start pushing up Quarters or Halves -

Train them! Put a half dollar on a board next to a hamster biscuit. Write on the board you bring this (arrow pointing to the half) and you get this! (arrow to biscuit). Heck you'll have them dragging coins from the neighbors yards for ya!

....Hey Mole Wacker. . . . Municipalities down here are beginning to use DRY ICE in lieu of poison or traps !
Using good gloves , they break off a chunk , drop it over the cleaned hole and use an overturned coffee can to concentrate the vapors !....No Mo Moles .
DONE AND DONE !

Then again , treasure hunting moles sound like more fun as the ground squirrels and burrowing owls do for us !
