Anyone know what the markings might be? ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1478025069.731463.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1478025085.276202.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1478025095.070584.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1478025114.136871.jpg

Not much left to say but CONGRATULATIONS on a GREAT FIND!

Congrats on the very nice ring.

It's got the right look.
No visible corrosion, which is good.
Hallmarks look English, (3).
I thought I saw a "60". 58 would be 14Kt.

It's old.....it's gold....it's absolutely beautiful.....
BANNER!

As everyone has stated. it sure looks old and gold. Jewelers test them free usually. I think I would make a trip. Very nice

I'm trying desperately to get good pics of the markings. It's very difficult. GLITTER! GRATS TO YA!!! Looks like 20/22k to me. What machine and how'd it hit?

XP DEUS and it hit between 85 and 87 which is odd for gold. High numbers for gold in my experience with this machine. I was using a modified relic program. It was about 6" down.

Wow! Great find.

Also, I was trying to figure out what was depicted on the top of the ring, and to me it looks like a blazing sun (orb shape with rays) shining low over what looks to me like the ocean.

Beautiful.

send it to me and I will send it back a few grams light----you know, gotta have a test sample:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7: super find:icon_thumleft::icon_thumright:

WOW! That is a beautiful ring, congrats! :D

Maybe get some Playdoh and press against hallmarks to see if you can make them out better. Although they probably will still be hard to see.Awesome ring.

NOTE... do NOT allow some lamer to scratch that ring to test it...
IF they need to scratch do it on bottom break.

Have them START with 22k test. IF it holds... STOP...if burns then go to 18.
Stop when hold. NO further testing should be done.

If that sucker is 22... heh ... man you just dug you a piece of real GOLD history.

I personally think BY EYE that you have. And my guess is strong 22-23k.

Congrats in advance. :)

PS... Marks ... if that's what they are... are illegible.

Oh... and one more question... hows the "heft" ?
Take it in your hand and sort of bounce it gently up and down and roll in closed partially open loose fist.

Does it feel hefty ? for its size rather.

I'm thinking high-karat, early 1800's. I think you found a doozey. Let's see those hallmarks, and then get that thing repaired professionally! :)
That buttery yellow sure reminds me of native gold. I suspect high karat too.

That is a delicious looking gold ring! :icon_thumright::icon_thumright:

:oCongratulations!!

Thanks for the info AARC, it is heavy for it size, I have pretty big hands, it will only fit on my pinky. It's not very big. Do you have any suggestions on where to go to get it's age? I have to be careful with it, the sides are pretty stressed. Def don't want to damage it.

Very awesome ring, I agree it looks like old gold. Can't wait to learn more about it!
