Well guys I never seen this have you? I went to Mississippi to meet up with my boy bonepicker and of course all I got was nickels, but this blew my mind and I have a witness. Lol
I know I’m a magnet for nickels and I not gonna bore you with pictures of them all. I ended up with 2 War, 4 buffs, 1 V (1911), a tax token and a hem weight.

But wait there’s more!!!

I HIT A NICKEL QUADFECTA IN 1 PLUG!! Think about this how does this happen in one spill? And the weird this about it was the clad Jefferson was last. Miracle plug is all I got to say. Wow Truth, this is Totally Amazing! I thought that things as miraculous such as this only happened in our voter elections. Lol Seriously, Congrat's to you on a Great Hunt and finds.

Any info on that button? I found one of those and didn't think much of it.

Awesome finds, the nickel spill is fantastic! I'm a big fan of that blown druggist bottle, was it in one of the plugs? Surface find? If you pulled it out of a hidden buried dump or trash pit I'd try going back to dig it out, judging from the 1900-1915 age of the bottle the deposit would be a perfect age for finding more good bottles. Is the stuff inside dirt or is it ash? If ash then there's a good chance there's more where it came from.

It was in the dirt not ash but there was a lot of broken pottery pieces, milk glass Etc. It was in the whole with this piece. It‘s a shame the tip was broken. 56366174798__DD86DC3A-C548-4AC4-9316-6BEEEA44DC9A.JPG56366184005__DF34DB4A-0185-4808-8635-3AE59F5B7F88.JPG

wow really neat spill:occasion14:

No Jefferson, War, Buffalo and V

I wonder if someone lost a 'Type' collection ?

I guess 2X2's , would have rotted away , Plastic frags might be present ? Or all were in a cardboard card.?

So you got a 'V' , Buff, WW 2 Jefferson , & a Clad Jefferson ?

That is amazing for 1 plug .

Maybe you 'Jefferson ' Quote under yr Avatar helps you dig more Nickles ???

Cool quad! :icon_thumleft: My only nit on this thread is that there are no "clad" nickels, regardless of year. They are a 75% copper and 25% nickel alloy (except for the war nickels, which are an alloy of silver, copper, and manganese, with a trace of gold also). No clad cents either for that matter. Zinc cents are copper plated.

It’s like I’m a one trick pony with nickels it’s been strange for along time and it never was just with one particular detector it’s been all of them. I think it’s a combination of people don’t dig a lot of mid tones and I have a ear for them for some reason and gambling on pull tabs don’t bother me ask Possum I’ll dig’em all day. (Unfortunately gambling was a problem, of many things, in my bloodline) Sometimes I literally tell them hello and sometimes he hears me cursing them out, but I dig them.

As far as this combination goes I’ve be racking my brain. The war was stuck to the buff in the sidewalk if the plug. Then at the very bottom of the hole was the V. I got up tripping out about a trifecta, so when it was check everything again with my detector it was the Jefferson in the bottom of the plug which is really the top at 2”. So hears what we had a Jefferson at 2”, a war and a buff stuck at 5-6” and the V at 8-9”. So the question would be where they dropped in the same spot just at different decades? That’s the amazing aspect to me....AND they happened to just be all nickels. What’s the odds.

And I got to feel a euphoria of finding the best clad nickel I’ve ever found now that think about that. Lol

Overall it was just an all-around amazing experience for me. This hobby will truly blow your mind in a second on any given day if you’re lucky enough that you’re coil goes over something that lights that wick of “get ready this is going to change everything”[emoji95][emoji95][emoji95][emoji95][emoji95]
