I saved my pulltabs... (until I struck GOLD!)

Its been over a year since I started saving my pulltabs... I wanted to see how long it took and how many pulltabs I'd find before I found GOLD or it found me. (depends how you look at it)

On the V3i it rang up as a solid 19+ vdi...I thought it was a nickel...

What's the aluminum weight of all those tabs? You might have a dollar or so worth there. Congrats on the gold!

Thats a bunch of pull tabs. When I worked for the city here someone was going around collecting tabs for some charity and I donated all mine as well. Now I have some more in the garage somewhere. Maybe you can find someplace to donate them to.

Congrats on the Gold man.. I did that myself when I first started..I had a half of a Gallon before I struck a Gold ring.. The funny thing about it though was that one day when I was going through my junk finds I found a small 18k Mood ring that I thought was junk, so It acually didnt take as long as I thought but I dont know how far along in my pull tab collection it came
What type of place did you find it?

Well as I have been told many times you have to go where people lose that kind of thing... and yes that is true... but I have found several silver ring over the last year and a half but no gold... till now... so its not where I have been hunting because the rings were there they just were silver... this gold ring was found at a lake swimming area.

Nice find, now we know the ratio of pulltabs to gold. I too have been saving my pulltabs just to see how many I'll have to dig before I find another ring.

As for the Ronald McDonald thing..I treid that in the past, and was told they dont do it anymore. so I took them to a scrap yard..got 5 bucks for a 5 gallon bucket

eventually... but since gold can cover almost all of the vdi ranges you just never know. a constant signal I think is the key!

I think you will like my post -see link below! The picture is of all the items I found this year between 2011 Gold #3-necklace, and gold #4 the ring in picture. I counted all my targets - close to a thousand.

I hope you enjoy, and just think when you go back to those lakes where people will return to, your site will be cleaner and you will have a cleaner hunt.
