I just have 2 birds. Their wing span is 7 3/4 inches. Their height is 7 inches. One weighs 5 pounds 11 oz while the other weighs 6 pounds 7 ounces.

No doubt that each back is diffrent. Each one has a diffrent attachment. I am thinking they went to a wrought iron gate.

OK isee now. The ball part is way out in front and cannot be seen on the 2nd pic. Are the attachments different or are they just taken from a different angle?

After no so much deliberation I think they were flying over the area in the 1970's following the swallows to Capistrano and got tired and fell from the sky and eventually were buried over time and remained there until finally recovered...Final Answer... :laughing9:

Thats what I thought at first. The wings even look different. But now I think its the same attachment taken at a different angle causing an optical illusion.

Creskol will explain when he logs back on. I dont know much about old cast iron tubs but the one my grandma had was all one piece cast. (no removable legs)

.. I am pretty sure they are tub legs, and it has been suggested that they are from a National tub. However, in doing a quick search, I can't seem to find any substantiating information. Anybody know how old they really are? Thanks!
Creskol, you are correct in your assumption they are tub legs. JMO :icon_thumright: broken Knee

Broken knee, since you know what they are, are they 2 different back attachments, or are they the same from a different angle? Thanks ahead for the explanation.

BCH, I believe they are the same from a different angle. Side by side pic's of the back would confirm this?

The attachments are virtually the same design, although one is substantially thicker than the other and is roughly 3/4 of an inch longer.
I have received a suggestion that they may be fancy stove legs and not tub legs. My old camera finally gave up the ghost, so when I get a new one, I will try to remember to post a photo of them.

Have an old cast iron tub with removeable claw on ball feet.
