One of my dealers had a legend pop back into his shop preowned from a forum member I have known for years.

I pulled the trigger and it is on the way.

I downloaded the latest 1.11 manual from noktas website to try and get familiar with the unit before it arrives.

Man they sure crammed a lot of stuff into a small space!!

Once I get familiar with what the symbols mean things will fall into place more easily....at least I hope so.

I have been looking through the M1,M2 and M3 settings and I do understand what their intention is for.

However does anyone know what frequencies are being used for each setting m1, m2 and m3??

I like hunting in higher frequencies for coins. So from what I understand that would be M2.

Since selectable frequencies kind of hit the scene with the original minelab xterra and their vflex technology by swapping coils for a different frequency.....I loved the 18khz on that unit.

Thats where i kind of cut my teeth on that style of detecting.

If a higher freq is good for mid conductors then IMO it would also do better for high conductors better as well. Coins on edge etc.

Anyways, does anyone have input on the multi settings on each pattern by chance???

I bought one haven’t had it out of the box yet. Hopefully that will change soon.

M1 leans towards high conductors, and M2 leans towards mid-conductors and M3 is supposed to be good for conductive (wet) soils and strictly high conductors. M1 and M2 can be used interchangeably. You'll still get high and mid-conductors with both. But M2 is good to use when you're trying to unmask targets in iron. Quite often single freq will go deeper than multi-freq for various reasons. I run M2 and 15, 20, and 40khz because I absolutely don't want to miss any kind of gold. I only go to 5 and 10khz if EMI chases me down there.
