Well I have been a member here for over 10 years. Not always as active as I would like, life gets busy. There are some awesome folks here and I have always enjoyed being here and sharing our finds. Not long ago I had a major case of acute pancreatitis. I almost died in the ER. They managed to stabilize me and after some time in the hospital, I am back home. My pancreas is still not working well. I am scheduled for a ton of tests in the coming weeks, but they are suspecting cancer. If it is in the pancreas, then I face a survival rate of 2%. If it is elsewhere, then I will fight it with everything that I have. I do hope they come up with another explanation for the pancreatitis, that would be best case scenario. I'm not ready to go, so this is pretty frustrating and scary. I could use all the prayers y'all feel like sending to the big guy.

Your treasure hunting buddy
Richie

Rich, I am sorry for your health problems. Glad they were able to stabilize you in hospital. & get you back home. You will be in my prayers.

Best wishes to Ya Rich.

Sorry to hear about that Rich. Sounds like the next few weeks ain't gonna be much fun. Don't lose hope. I'll be prayin that maybe it turns out to be just some little glitch that they can fix pretty easy, once they figure it out. Take care, Tejano.

Richie, our prayers are sent. Anxious to hear that you beat it. My wife is a hospice nurse and she thinks pancreatic cancer is almost an epidemic, many cases and no explanation why. If it hasn't spread to other vital organs, I understand there is a good chance of survival. Either way, you're in God's hands and only he can explain why.

I am so sorry to hear this. I know no words are adequate when you are facing something so tough. But miracles do happen and you are as deserving of one as anyone else. My prayers are with you.

You do have the MD Anderson Cancer Center about 8 hours away from where you live. I've always heard they are one of the best Cancer hospitals around. MD Anderson Cancer Center Locations | MD Anderson Cancer Center

Cancer can't live in an alkaline ph host maybe wheat grass juice for anti oxidants and kangen water to change the ph of your body! My prayers go out for you!

I have edited the above statement to say "alkaline" instead of "acid"!
