Got these today. Went detecting, then stopped a few places on the way home, and picked these two up.
The Merc is a great example of a clashed die. Look at the extra stuff at Liberty's forehead, in front of her face and under her neck. On the reverse you can see her profile sticking out on the right. NICE find IMHO.
Now the Indian Cent is ODD. The coin itself shows a good deal of wear, but look at the double strike?? on the obverse. What do you think? I have a similar 1990 Lincoln out for slabbing right now. The lettering on the reverse is somewhat flattened.
The 1864 wanted it's picture taken too!
