I left my Prizm4 out in the rain :(

My Prism3 wet too. (( I have been exposed to rain. the device is not started. dried. in vain. wet keyboard. it will accurately stratify and dry.

Send it back to whites, they will replace the mother board.I also would not have turned it on for atleast a week or two, just my two cents worth.

In a situation like this one, I've heard that turning a wet unit on can do some real damage. I've heard that you should just towel it off, DO NOT turn it on, remove the battery(ies) and administer rice therapy. (YES, rice)- No, don't eat it.....use it as a desiccant. Uncooked, it will absorb the moisture. You'll just have to figure out the best way to get the detector near the rice or the rice near the detector to do it's thing.

I'm also used rice successfully. Same method: don't turn it on. Give it a good long time to dry out.

Alternately you can buy dessicant cheap online. Simply bake them to get the moisture out, place in sealed container, and re-use later. Good for all kinds of things and they last forever.
