I just dug an 1835 Capped Bust dime in MINT condition! Mebane NC, VIDEO!

Yesterday I went to the battle of Bentonville in Johnston county NC and had high expectations. I ended up coming home with just two 3 ringers! I was tired from hunting all day, so I got a late start digging today. My site of choice was the old house site that I have been hitting pretty hard. I found a wheat penny, so i was stoked about that, and then I found an 1800s squeeze box reed. I also dug an old axe head. I save these for some reason, I like them. I was having a fair hunt until I decided to search for a supposed still in the bottom below the field. As I was walking down the hill I was swinging. I got a HOT dime signal on my Ace 250, moved some dirt, and started filming. I wasn't prepared for what I saw. , a silver dime! I was certain that it was a Roosevelt. But in the film, I realized that I was over 100 years off. I dug my SECOND CAPPED BUST DIME! I can't believe i dug such a beautiful coin. It is an 1835 and in EF40 for you coin folks out there! It looks like it was dropped yesterday. When you watch the video, please don't be critical of my digging! In the video I know it looks haphazard but I could see the coin, and I wasn't about to hit it! ! You guys don't understand how happy I am! I even quit detecting before dark on a Saturday! HAHA. YouTube video will be added soon. In the pictures, you will see the front and back of the dime, and my "relics". Relics were a spoon, camp lead, squeeze box reed, and a 44 wheat! Enjoy, and may this be inspiration if you use an Ace 250!

He's not new to detecting, just new to T-Net. I've been hunting with Brad for years now. He's a solid, dedicated detectorist. In fact, he took me to the site where these two dimes came from. I know first hand how much aluminum and scrap junk he's pulled out of that site, so these two dimes are hard-eared for sure. He's been working the site for many, many hours after I gave up on it. He's just that dedicated, and won't leave a good site until there isn't another beep to be had. Hats off to him for pulling out another keeper, and to the victor go the spoils, HAHA

Like Toast says, I am not a "new guy," I have been detecting for a while now. I see that you have found at least 2 capped bust silvers as well, so im sure you know that it can be done. If you want to check me out, just go to Friendly and do a search for "foundinnc" and you can see all my posts since 09. I just needed a more professional forum, and I found that here. I feel that the 2 capped coins were well deserved, as well as the silver 3 cent and half dime I found a couple weeks ago. I dig A LOT of trash. I don't mind it. I usually get rewarded.

Awesome man! I also use an Ace 250...and I dont know why, but I find more silver dimes with it than any other coin. I have found TWICE as many dimes with it as I have Pennies if you can beleive that! It just seems to me that my detector is really "tuned" for finding dimes!

Beautiful coin!!!!
