I haven't hunted this creek in over 10 years!
I hunted this creek on Saturday with my wife. We hunted here over 10 years ago. After the late summer flooding we had last year I figured this would be a good time. There were new cuts exposed and the creekbed was unsilted. the first find was the small serated point. walked about 10 yards and stoped to rinse it again and found the second one a hands width away from where I dipped it in the water. Complete gray chert!
Walked another 50 feet and found the pottery shard. We know that there is a village near this location but it's now devoloped. There is also a hunting camp where deer have watered for ever about 1/4 mile downstream. I've picked up some very nice peices there.
On the way back to the truck we found the Quartz point at the camp. All these types are unfamilliar to me. Any help identifing would be appriciated.
It was GREAT to be back out to this site after so many years. We expected it to be devoloped also! Thanks for looking.
