but does anyone MD in cemeteries? I keep thinking to myself that it meets the age requirement. Most are from the late 1800's. It meets the gathering of people requirement. People standing huddled around the grave pulling handkerchiefs out of the pockets with old coins falling out at the same time. Unfortunately, my conscience tells me I am a sicko for even thinking up such a thing. I have hunted some of the old church grounds and they evidently have been pounded because my finds have been meager to nonexistent. Is cemetery hunting even legal? If so are small family plots better than large multi-acre ones? With MD'ing being banned in so many places I hate to bring up a topic like this because I can see where this could easily put us in a bad light but I am curious what others think.

I am so disapointed that Lost Treasures would print an article like this. With all the heat that we detectorists take, we do not need to lower ourselves in the public eye, by being grave robbers on top of things.
Nor a magazine of our hobby condoning it.
I just sent my letter of disapproval to the editor.
