I've dug several lead seals but this is the first with writing on it. It looks like oG. co. f-ass.
I assume the f is for farmers association.

Could be lots of things; wool, manure, guano, grain, seeds, etc, etc

Cloth seal's were for bundles of cloth & look similar to bale seals.

I hate to wake the dead, but I need some help on this one...

I have found only one and didn't even know what it was. I've been told it is a good one.

It's a bad picture, I know lol. This was solved for me in the "What Is It?" section. It's a NJ Public Weigher seal for what I believe is the "Mountain Ice Company" (based on the words MOUNTAIN ICE on the back).

I found a Kali Syndicat lead piece, I didn't know what it was. What were these used for?

Bag Seal Junky!

Darn nice finds, lots of history.:occasion14:

I agree - there are so many here I have not seen before but lots are on my website and many of those have a full or partial identification. If anyone would like me to attempt to identify a find then please post a close up of front and back with size and if you agree I will add the new ones to the site (ones I cannot identify often get recognised later). Here's a link to my standard request:- http://www.bagseals.org/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=1952 ... Ok it was on a fancy dress MD weekend rally ... I don't normally wear pink! mind you it certainly helped people with seals to find me on the field!!!
