🔎 UNIDENTIFIED I got this cast lead button on a colonial/early 1800s site and it has a wreath on the front, but I can't make out any other details.

I was hoping it was military, though we haven't found any other military items on the site. Thanks! Other items we got included a KG 3, a Draped Bust, Tombac and brass buttons, buckles (included a broken spectacle), etc. The original patent for the area was 1670s.

Looks like a cherub on it
Sounds good to me. It was found along a river where several plats were deeded in the 1670s and houses existed in the 1870s, two of which still exist today. There was nothing to indicate military activity (but I got this huge musket ball which might be ACW period). Anyway, these were my keepers for the day. Thanks!

I believe I see a cherub also. Halfway down at 6 o'clock I can see what appears to be a cherub with his (or her) back turned with wings to the right and left side of the body. I can make out what appears to be the head, the body, wings, and the feet at the bottom of the body. Anyways, that's what I believe I see. The cherub is surrounded by a floral design around the buttons edges. Very nice button and Save. Well Done.
