I have been hunting a rather unproductive spot, it looks good, but not many keepers.

I was able to locate two padlocks though.

The first one was a mid 1900s "Mail RFD" padlock.

The second one is a bit older, late 1800s or early 1900s. From what I have read, it is neither USPS or military, but was sold out of catalogs with a "US" logo on it. It is all brass, and the bail still moves freely! They don't make stuff like they used to...

Best of luck to you on your hunts!

Cool lock Tom! US looks awful good coming out the dirt, no matter what it's on! Congrats and still looking forward to getting a hunt in with y'all.

Those are really cool!

That's a nice US lock! It would look good in any collection. Congrats

I agree, that US lock looks great. Sometimes it is the unknown off the wall find that is better than silver and gold.

That looks really cool man, Ive never found an old lock ... I think. Did you start packing for DIPA? I bought new kneepads, gonna be doing so much digging to show ya'll how its done I figure I might need them :headbang::laughing7::tchest::sign10:

Love those old padlocks. Both of them are great but I especially like the US one.

Nice digs Tom. I found a few that I cherish.
