I didn't get to the silver farm today, but got permission to do a property I've had my eye on for three years--right next door. I did manage a dollar in face and a few wheaties, but no silver :'(. However, I'm not done by a longshot and I did manage this 1912D V nickel which I will allow to stand as a worthy substitute for the lacking silver. By the time I finish this yard it will yield; it has to, with a public sidewalk and an old house on it.

Those oldies may not be silver, but they sure are goodies. Way to go and keep us posted.

After cleaning up the wheaties from yesterday's next door hunt, I found the oldest to be a 1911 (pictured). I'm using it to show the relative size of a spoon also found there yesterday; there are no markings on it but I find it very interesting. Is it a baby spoon? Sugar spoon?
