Pretty nice, I’d never seen such a thing. I guessing it was originally silver plated, which from what I see online appears to be mostly attributed to Mexico. Are you near the border?

I found it in Torrington ct , in the woods, it does seem to be plated over copper....and thanks

Good job! We were so poor when I was growing that one Christmas my brother got a cap pistol and I got the holster!!
I remembered seeing a set of these before in some antique shop. I'll bet the kid who lost that was heartbroken
