I found this at a colonial site a while back

[West Jersey Detecting]

I have no idea what it is, but my guess is more modern, possibly late 19th to early 20th century. It was originally folded in half when I found it. It quite possibly was meant to be that way, but IDK.

It was not found near the 1917 penny, it is just there for size comparison.
