I was mentioning the other day how it was my first time using my MD. Well last night I was out in my yard trying to learn the sounds. While going over this small patch of a rose garden I got this strong signal, it showed about 6" down. Off I go diggin & I ran into this glass jar. What a rush, in it was 6 Susan B Dollars, 4 Eisenhower Dollars & 9 Kennedy Halfs, not to mention 2 house keys. I checked the dates on all the coins & all are from 1975-80. Pretty neat, now I don't what I want to do more when I have spare time, fish or detect, right now the later has preference.

Finding a cache on one of your first times out is great. You should research how they might have gotten there. There may be others.
Good luck, and welcome to the forum.

Did you bury it? lol How long have you owned the house? There's always a chance that there are more lieing around the house. Great start and good find. Keep it up. Jason

My wifes grandfather lived in it for 50 years, it's in a small borough & the funny thing is we don't have a big yard. The house dates back to the late 1800's. From what my father in law told me their used to be a young kid who helped his dad out, cut grass, shovel snow, etc. & thinks that he may have been keeping a stash from his mom & dad.

Great find dru!! Just think, that's just in your own yard!!. How many other kids might have burried stuff locally?

man you are super lucky to find something so cool on the first time out. nice job!!

you will forget HOW to fish before too long...only fishing you will do will be with a magnet......then you forget how to deer hunt,, take out the trash,,,,find your way to work...it goes on and on............................have fun
