...spoon ring today! ;D I haven't seen one of these around here since the 70's. :D

Yesterday I spent about 45 minutes at the same ole park I have been cleaning up and another couple of hours there this morning. With the finds I am digging, I am guessing that there was a house here before the park. Lots of iron and junque, so finding the good stuff is a bit more difficult. Ended up with the silver spoon ring, a frog charm, $5.66, ME's zipper pull and bullets and buttons. ;) OH..I forgot...I also found a great pair of sunglasses. 8) Not a bunch but happy to go. :)

My Solo coin cup is about to run over, WSDaddy! :D I'm saving all those quarters for the trip to the casino in October!! ;)

Nana, WTG, that's a PERFECT "wilver" spoon for all the clad soup you're serving from that SoLo cup!

Take care,

Way to go on the quarters, hope you do good at the casino. It looks like you're cleaning that park pretty good.

Terrific silver ring you got there! Looks like you pulled a nice pile o clad also judging from the stacks. Keep diggin em up!

Very nice finds Nana---That spoon ring is way cool.

Nana...Congrats on your first silver spoon ring!!! I've only found one of them myself.....as you said there were VERY popular in the 70's and I am surprised more aren't being found... ???

Nana,
Congrats on the ring. Very nice. That looks like a rare zipper pull too. I think only 5 total were made by Eric Von Zipper back in 1652 I believe. Could have been 1653?
;D
Great job.

Spoon rings are cool!
Nice going :)
Those look like some lucky quarters to me........good luck at the casino! :)

Hi Nana!

Nice finds and nice spoon ring! :) I haven't found a spoon ring yet... thought about making one. Actually, if I'm not finding much detecting then I start making jewelry out of gold or silver wire. Just started this a few months ago when I did not have time to go detecting. Keep up the good work!

Tom

Congrats on your first silver and it looks like you had some good hunting !!! ;D ;D

That's a lot of stuff for less than an hour. Big stack of Quarters. ;D ;D

I have never seen a spoon ring. Why would someone want to wear that? Popular in the 70's? Hmmm...that might explain it.

Bob

Thanks ya'll! :)

SBob....$5 per play?!!! :P Dang! Hope there's a cheaper version in OK! :D

Joe..here's another pic of the ring for ya.

WSDaddy...got plenty of quarters as long as it isn't $5 a play! :D

MON......NO. :-\ Not yet. But I will! ;)

MM.....OH dang! 1653!? And to think, I have already promised it to ME! :D

Tom...that jewelry sounds nice!

Bob...that was about 2 1/2 hours of hunting. :)

Thanks again ya'll!!!

Nana :)

Nice going Nana! Love those silver rings (of course that doesn't mean I'd throw back a gold one). 8)

As for the casinos here, the last I knew (5 yr. ago-long story), they were accepting all demoninations of paper money but not coins. They had a few penny machines, but mainly quarter ones. Most were Max play of .75 but some went up to $2 (on 8 line machines). When you cashed out, no clinking of coins-just the sounds of a printer filling out a paper ticket that you cashed in at the cage.

No clinking of coins?! :'( That's the best part! :D Dang, I guess I need to crawl out from under my rock every once in a while to see what's going on out there! :D
