Hello Forum,

It's a ladies college ring, 10K, and yes it has initials in it. I spoke with someone from the graduating class yesterday!

Cool ring! I wish I was the owner of that ring but .... 1972 - is the year I was born... congrats on your BEAUTIFUL GOLD RING!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats

Ancestry has a collection of old high school yearbooks online. I have a subscription and would be happy to see if I can find a name or possible name for you. PM me if you'd like help.

Hello forum,

I'm happy to report that I did my first ring return! I'm not into self promotion, but the story behind the ring is pretty special and I feel that it should be shared. I'd like to give SusanMn a great big THANKS for reaching out to me and helping me early on.

Thanks for looking!

I think it is a fantastic story and glad to see the outcome. Good job

Great find! Hope you can locate the owner. Found 2 in my years of detecting, class of β€˜30 (2001) and class of β€˜69(2002).

Congratulations on your first return. It really feels great to see the faces of the people who get part of their family history returned.

Congratulation on the return of the class ring, you did the right thing. You have my vote for honorable mention, as far as I am concerned, any one who returns something that has valuable and/or sentimental value back to family or loved ones should get an honorable mention as far as T net is concern because it is like a merit badge among metal detectorist and it promotes good will and metal detecting etiquette .

Absolutely awesome stuff right there. Great story. Always good to have the news on our side so that the word gets out that detectorists go above and beyond to get items such as this back to the rightful owners. Great job. Jgas.
