I found Buddha

Dug this little statue today. It's about an inch tall and kinda heavy. Maybe brass or bronze. Last week I found a Jesus medal. I hadn't found many religious things up till now. Maybe someone is trying to tell me something.

Nice Buddha! He is very unique, maybe a young Buddha before he packed on the pounds!

Seriously though, there are different Buddhas that mean different things. The fact that he has a bag in his hand is symbolic. You might find out more about him on a Feng Shui site.

Definitely a keeper, a lost good luck token that has found a new home. 8)

Very interesting find, what is the history of the area where it was recovered ? trk5capt...

Actually the area where I found it is fairly new, within the last 5 years, I'd guess. The park itself is probably only about 50 yrs old. So it wasn't in that spot very long.
