And I wasn't even detecting! I had a new mattress delivered today. The gentleman stopped dead in his tracks getting ready to retrieve the old one when my 28 pound 40" Maine Coon cat, Lil'while was perched in the middle of the bed. The guy says "There's a cat on the bed." Sheer genius here! Well, this 28 pound cutie pie wouldn't hurt him. But a cat that size that doesn't run (he wanted to get petted), is enough to intimidate anyone. So I remove him from the bed and the guy literally sighs in relief, and took one step forward. At which point the real life Smokeythecat does this horrid growl from the greenhouse window a couple more feet away. The poor guy stopped dead in his tracks again.

Anyway, got a new mattress.

Which prompted me just now to vacuum ALL THE WAY under the bed. Well, I'm still missing the $5 US Gold coin I got at the beach a year plus ago. I put it away REAL GOOD last fall, 2017. To keep the carpet guys from "finding" it as everything in the room had to get moved.

As I'm vacuuming I see a coin "flip" holder, so go for it.

Out comes the flip with something inside it! Something Golden! A coin! No, NOT the $5 missing one.

It's a British quarter Guinea I bought at least 5 years ago as a type coin. Dated 1762.

But I still found it! I thought I had sold it awhile back, detectors are expensive!

Some of the dust and cat fur under there has a pedigree! True story. (You can't make this garbage up.)View attachment IMG_1444.jpg

I've been downsizing for years. Moving would take a few hours.

I think one or both of the cats had something to do with it.

Dude, that's FIVE cats! And three chickens, but they are not allowed inside as they might beat up the cats.

Smokey , you never cease to amaze me... We had a big Maine coon ,he's gone now he was 35# and a big baby he was so small when I got him I had to feed him and he would sleep on my chest ,it was OK as a kitten but at 35# he about killed me..I miss that cat..have a great christmas and new year....

Thanks 3cylbill. I do have a blessed and crazy life. Finished under the bed and just found a bunch of cat toys. And a few more dust bunnies. Digging tomorrow! My Maine Coon likes holding me down on the bed at night. Nothing can get me that way.

Congrats on finding your lost gold coin. What a nice early Christmas present.

Only the cat has gold falling out of the furniture and rafters. Lol.

Yeah Smokey, I'm reading through this post slowly to make sure I get the context what is being said and just laughing. I may sometimes loose a key or one of my kids toys, but a gold coin. Wow. Great story.

You clearly have too many gold coins..and this is, no doubt, a very stressful problem. As a licensed clinical social worker, I would like to offer my assistance... send them all to me!

Thats part of the new coding changes to the ICD-10-CM from the DSM-5 right?

Oddjob, is that like "EIEIO"?

I had to google that what you said, but no its not. That user was talking about being an LPC, and that is the what all mental health professionals practice according to.

But I also had to google what sort of cat that was you where talking about. I suppose thats alright though, I have two retired Kangal working dogs; I can be out with them and often get asked asked what sort of dog they are, then I tell them and even sometimes folks ask what kind that is.

I play “lost and found” with my own things rather regularly. LOL!
