Hello everyone. I was at my storage warehouse when I noticed a pile of books sticking out the top of the dumpster. It appears they cleaned out someones storage warehouse that didn't pay. This happens all the time. Being a person that likes to read and sell junk on eBay, I took a pile of books home. They were all about Archaeology. Inside one of the books entitled "the People Who Discovered Colombus, The Prehistory of the Bahamas" I discovered a hand written treasure map describing a cave "70 feet deep and has more stuff of value than we have any idea of!"

My first clue to the origin of these Archaeology books comes from an inscription written inside a book "Donated to the Graves Museum of Archaeology and Natural History."

The Graves Museum closed its doors in 2004. A bankruptcy judge later approved the museum's plan to donate its collections to Broward College and Florida State University and dissolve its governing board. https://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/fl-graves-museum-brow100-20150607-story.html

Inside the Bahamas book was a 4 page hand written letter describing the search of a cave with some hand written maps! I still havent read it all but it describes in detail a trip from Miami to San Salvador, Bahamas in search of something old and valuable. My question to the group. Inside the book is the name of the famous archaeologist Gypsy C. Graves. Is this her signature or her handwriting? Does this mean she owned this book? Could she be the person that wrote the treasure maps? That would certainly add credibility. I hope this works because Im on a very weak WIFI hotspot and Im out of data..

According to the letter, they used heavy equipment and the investors spent "millions".. I notice one of the maps has a notation "cleaned to bedrock"

Those are the scrapes in the Google shot. An old map also shows a gold dust pond, in addition to fortune hill. These names are not by chance. I believe the treasure would have been rowed by long boat up pigeon creek via gold dust pond to the end of the sound and then carried the shorter distance through the bush.

I know the dagger I've seen reminded me of Arabia, rusted Damascus, gold, red and clear stones. I've been told it was sold. Immediately I thought of the red sea pirates.

Its a hand written letter with hand written maps and I havent even had time to read it yet. I will post some parts later. I dont know if they found anything. It may be a letter that was never mailed. Its dated but it doesnt seem to have a name of the person who wrote it. Im trying to determine if it was written by Gypsy Graves. It describes how they picked up Mrs Black and she made the trip with them. The maps are small, handwritten and confusing but they are maps of places they dug or found a cave. I have been dumpster diving forever. Im a professional lol. You wouldnt believe the stuff I find.

I cant believe you found that !!! Totally incredible find. If the treasure is ever dug that would be historically valuable......if they cant find it exactly it could be a valuable key piece to untold riches. Congrats !! I've been following this stuff for 20 + years, and for me that's a banner find.

Mrs. Black was involved but she is not the person who wrote the letter but Im guessing she enlisted the help of an archaeologist(s) to get permits from the prime minister who is mentioned several times in this letter. Here is part of the 4 page letter.

I'll call my friend this eve. And see what treasure gossip is going around the island lately. My sons godfather was born and still lives there and is in the know, he has helped dig several times. I was told that the cave of interest was back filled when the 400 pounds of gold were taken out. They went on to Nassau with the gold and started solomons mine jewlrey store. They were said to be covered in fine red dust when they emerged from the cave. Possibly it was red ocher.....stored as treasure also. Jason had his excavator poised over the spot where gpr said there was an anomaly at the 35 foot mark. He never got that far before he got shut down.

I've been lucky to be along for some of these crazy bahamian adventures. Just driving the excavator from the marina to the spot must have taken 2 days !!

The sink hole is the back filled and destroyed supposed entrance. So they were trying to dig down from over the top of the cave to the void. I've also been told that cave has been worked into 5 separate tunnels that are radiating from a central cavity in a semi circle like a hand. This info was from the waitling treasure corps gpr readings. I have tried to find info on the waitling treasure Corp but get nothing. They were from texas.

interesting books, and treasure story
found this court rule, from 2015, wonder if it ever got probated

As the representative of the estate of Nimrod Newton
the person granted the land by the Crown in 1876 –
Dennis Bethel holds a temporary grant in relation to the land.
In 2010, he secured, on behalf of his family, a consent order
to halt excavation efforts on the disputed property.
Speaking to reporters about the ruling yesterday, he said:
“I think the judge’s ruling today is fair and is along the lines
of what I expected and right now as it stands the matter is
between the descendants of Nimrod Newton and the ruling
that we now (are waiting for) from the Deputy Registrar
Camille Gomez as to sorting out the probate of the estate
of Nimrod Newton.

#“The matter is only now between descendants of Nimrod
Newton. The other adverse claimants don’t have a stake in
this matter and the issue for them is over.”

Ya but the Gov. They are definitely involved in this and keep stepping in and stopping the digs. They will definitely get involved at the first trace of treasure no matter who owns the land. Its cultural heritage, and they are much like the state of Florida when it comes to major treasure finds. No permits have been issued for treasure hunting in years. Who knows though maybe this will at least get the shovels moving. I've had no problems searching great sites as long as they are privately owned and not queens land.i just got back 3 weeks ago and dug some great permissions with no probs.

Well there you have it......that's the basic story......minus some of the oral traditions. As far as the dagger I saw.....who knows, it was claimed to have come from one of the caves on fortune hill. It has never resurfaced and was claimed to be sold in Nassau. I'm still looking for a small gold cache that was stashed by my buddies mom who is 91 and wont tell or cant remember where she hid it. American gold from the early 1900s buried by her grand mother and her when she was very young. I've scanned on his property several times with no luck. Supposed to be in a Mason jar.
